A lifeline for those no one sees.
The Handicap Support Program offers monthly cash support to individuals with lifelong disabilities who have no income or family to rely on. It’s a focused, high-need initiative, reaching those completely dependent on external help. With your support, they get the chance to survive with stability.
The initiative is currently active among Syrian refugee communities in Lebanon, with expansion underway across the region. Our presence is shaped by ground realities, where crises emerge, MEEF follows. With your help, we’re able to stay ready, responsive, and relevant.
In many places, individuals with long-term disabilities are left in silence, unable to earn, forgotten by family, and beyond the reach of aid. Their struggles don’t make headlines, but they live them every day.
This program exists to respond where no one else does; to offer not just financial help, but a feeling of being seen. It’s a quiet promise: that they matter, and someone out there cared enough to act.
Every month, qualified recipients receive direct cash stipends that cover their most urgent needs. These are not handouts. They’re a way to bring consistency, calm, and care into lives shaped by uncertainty, made possible by people like you.
The 7Grains Handicap Support Program assists individuals with lifelong disabilities who are financially vulnerable and lack access to consistent institutional aid. These are people often hidden from view; dependent on others and overlooked by most financial assistance systems.
Eligibility is determined through in-person needs assessments in Karbala, Iraq. Our field teams visit each applicant, verify documentation, and select those who meet our strictest vulnerability criteria. This Shia disability assistance program is focused on providing sustained support where it’s needed most.
Each recipient receives a direct monthly cash stipend that helps cover food, medicine, hygiene products, and basic needs. Unlike short-term handouts, this is a form of financial support sadaqah that brings a sense of calm and consistency to lives shaped by hardship.
The funds are sent directly, without any middle agents, ensuring full transparency. As a disability support charity initiative, 7Grains contributes to the stability of individuals who face serious challenges in daily life.
The program is currently active in Karbala, Iraq, where our on-ground team has identified high-need individuals through home visits and documentation. These are people who have gone years with limited access to structured support or formal aid systems.
With the success of this pilot model, 7Grains is preparing to expand the financial aid program to other cities where support for handicapped individuals in Iraq remains scarce. As more donors join our monthly giving circle, the reach will grow with sincerity and quiet consistency.
All applications are reviewed through a multi-step vetting process. Each person is evaluated based on need, disability status, and lack of stable support. Our team personally verifies cases to make sure the monthly support for disabled individuals goes to those with the highest vulnerability.
Ongoing monitoring is part of the 7Grains commitment to trust and transparency. Each recipient remains in close contact with the field team to ensure they continue receiving aid, and donors can rest assured that their sadaqah is being used where it truly matters.
